Book Review: Devil's Thirst

A new neighbor with a secret identity and a deadly obsession…

Amelie
I knew I shouldn't have asked him for a ride.

My new neighbor is a study in contradictions—covered in tattoos and dripping intensity.
He’s alluring yet aloof, and his every calculated move is dangerously seductive.

Little did I know, he’s been systematically inserting himself into every part of my life.
Creeping beneath my protective armor.
Trapping me like a fly in his web before revealing his true identity.

Now, he’s standing before our families calling me his future wife.

He doesn’t understand that my life isn’t that simple.
I have secrets of my own, and his obsession with claiming me might just get me killed.

My Review

I like a strong FMC. That is what we get with Amelie. She may have someone following and watching her but yet, she still fights. With Sante's assistance, she finds her confidence and blooms.

"You choose me. I choose you."

Sante is the perfect combo of dark and light. He has this protect her at all costs attitude but at the same time he gives off golden retriever vibes as well.

"I'm the man who is going to keep you safe."

While Sante desires Amelie, the romance between them is slow burn. There is not a lot of physical interaction until more than the halfway point of the story. These few scenes I found to be sweet because they showed a vulnerable side to both Sante and Amelie that involves real emotions.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Devil's Thirst brings the sweet heat!
