My Review

What a lovely story. For a novella, this was a full story. I did not feel like it was rushed, or I missed anything. I kind of got Dorian Gray vibes with this story. 

You could feel a connection between Madelyn and Thomas. It went deeper than just attraction. The mystery surrounding Thomas draws you in. Once you learn his secret, you can't help but be intrigued. When Madelyn learns of Thomas's secret, I don't blame her for how she reacted. Yet, I am glad that she gave him another chance. 

There are a few spicy scenes. Readers who like spice but not too spicy, this novella is for you.

My Review

I absolutely love this book. The emotions are strong in this story. A beautiful story at that. I could picture everyone and the town so vivid in my mind as I was reading. 

Lena and Elias shared both a physical and emotional connection. It was the emotional one that I loved the most. You could feel the raw emotions. They were both hurting and together they healed. Loved that despite the attraction that Elias felt towards Lena, he did not move too quickly with her. 

The song that Elias sang to Lena was perfect. The words are lovely. There are not any better two people that are matched for each other than these two.
