Something About You

The demons of the past never really go away.

They reach up and consume all that you love.

Danny has watched his brothers find happiness and peace with their women. They have the kind of love a person spends their life searching for, the kind Danny believes he will never have. But Fate has other ideas, and Jill Is strong enough to battle the past with him.

Jill has her own demons, though, ones set on destroying the little oasis of peace she has fought so hard for. The problem is, there are some things not even the Mancini Family will be able to help her with.

When the monsters of their pasts claw up out of hell, Danny and Jill must fight their way through love to not only save each other, but the whole family.

The problem is, who are the demons after?

My Review

I have not read any of the prior books in this series. In fact, I honestly did not know this was the last book in this series when I picked it up. Luckily, I had no issues jumping right into this book and the world that the author has built for this series.

I really enjoyed Danny and Jill. Everyone else was great as well. I do want to go back by checking out the prior books in this series and getting to know everyone else better. There was some past history between Danny and Jill that kept them from getting together in the beginning of this book. Yet, once Danny and Jill admitted and gave into their feelings for one another it was steamy. I found it charming that Danny called Jill "Jilly Baby". It was endearing.

K.B. Barrett lives in western Michigan with her wonderful husband and three kids. Her love of books started early, thanks to her grandmother, an avid reader who encouraged her to love all books. Eventually, she had too many ideas and decided to start writing her own books. What started out as a small hobby led to her first book, Everything I Need, being published in March. She likes writing romantic books that are full of suspense and complicated, but they
always come with a happily ever after.

Originally from Oregon, she and her husband have had the pleasure of living all over the United States. While she enjoys traveling to new destinations, it is the feeling that you get from living in a new place that she loves the best. For her, there is nothing quite like having a life full of adventure. She feels blessed that she has had the opportunity to go wherever the wind decides to take her, whether that is traveling and exploring new places, following her kids around, or simply sitting out on the deck enjoying coffee in one of her colorful mugs.
