Audiobook Review: Painter's Obsession Volume II

Some stories aren’t just painted in blood—they’re carved into flesh, leaving nothing but ruin in their wake. I survived his world, but not without changing me. Not without sinking me with him into the void. Turns out, sometimes, in order to set something free, you have to destroy it. The game isn’t over. The lessons aren’t finished. And the deeper I go, the harder it is to tell where he ends and I begin. THIS IS STOCKHOLM... TOXIC WITH NO—ABSOLUTELY NO HAPPY ENDING.. My Review Ok, my heart got ripped out, stomped on, and then put back together again barely. That is what Ren and Byron' story did to me with this conclusion to this duet. While I really liked the first book, this one edged out the first book.  Just like Byron, I wanted to get over Ren and "hate" him but, we all know that the most you resist, the harder you fall. Honestly, Ren is the guy you do love to hate. So, I don't blame Byron for any of the actions he took or the choices he made. They were born out...

TROPES: 🎶 Healing through music 🖤 The one who got away / the one who stayed 🐺 The lone wolf & the golden boy 🗡️ Touch her and die / I already did 🫀 He only softens for her 🏠 Forced proximity / roommates 🔥 High angst. Too much want. Not enough time. 💥 Family saga. 💫 Destiny. ☠️ Hate to love you. ❤️‍🔥 And love that never lets go. From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes an angsty, forced proximity love triangle where secrets test brotherly bonds and music brings them together, only to have destiny threaten to tear them apart. I’ve loved two men in all my life. Two extremely different men. Where Julius and I blossomed from a loving friendship, Kraven and I stemmed from nothing but hatred. A very thin line exists between love and hate, and I crossed it with both. I fell in love with each of them at different times, in different ways, and with different words and actions. Cause and ...

Audiobook Review: Ven por Mi

Alaina He’s waited a long time for me, but I’ve waited longer for the truth. Not even the king himself could keep me from the only ties left to my identity. Then I meet him, and I’m stuck between uncovering who I am and discovering who I’m meant to be. Dax After seven years I finally found her, my true mate’s timing couldn’t have been more perfect. With the rogue and vampire attacks increasing in vigor, my kingdom needed a strong leader now more than ever. They needed  us . Only together, did we have a chance. But she’s fighting her destiny, fighting me. It’s only a matter of time before my enemies plaguing my kingdom would see this and try to take what’s mine. My Review I really enjoyed the duet narration performed by M. Bella & Zac Aleman. There is just something about listening to an audiobook performed in another language than English. It just made listening to this audiobook sexier in the Spanish version.  It has been quite a while since I have read a wolf shif...

Book Review: Namaste and Slay

Image
From the author of  The 13th Continuum  and  A Sacrifice of Destiny and Desire  comes a chillingly dark romantic-suspense series that’s perfect for fans of  You. Morgan thought a weekend at the exclusive Namaste Center—a luxury wellness retreat for women, located in the picturesque Berkshires—would be the perfect way to recover from a breakup. But Morgan isn’t sure she wants to move on. All she really wants is for Noah to apologize for the affair that ruined their chance at happiness. Audiobook Review: Grandma's House

Image
It’s Christmas Eve, and Maisie is convinced her boyfriend, Lucas, is  totally  going to propose. The cookies are baked, the mood is set, and her ring finger is perfectly poised. But when a confused elderly woman wanders into their home and claims it as her own, the couple’s plans are quickly thwarted. My Review Who says that you can't listen to Christmas books all year round. If you like your holiday stories to be dark, then, you may want to check out this one.  Grandma's House is like eating a dark chocolate kiss.  While I did enjoy this novella, I was just getting into the story when it ended. Um, that ending left me wanting more. I would have liked to see the story just a little longer. Yet still a good read or in my case listen. You can't go wrong with narrators, Savannah Thomas and Joe Arden.  Brimming with tension, suspense, and holiday cheer, this twisted short story is perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Daniel Hurst.

Book Review: Goddess of Death

Image
I knew Callum would come for me. I leave the treacherous underworld behind and return to life with the man I love -- finally. But when I ask him to marry me, there's a heaviness in his silence. He admits that he's kept something from me...and he finally tells me his truth. A secret I wish he'd taken to the grave. A secret that changes everything. Callum had earned the respect and acceptance of everyone in my life, but then he destroys it in just the span of minutes. I'm not sure where this leaves us, but the situation only gets worse when Leviathan returns. The God of the Underworld says if I don't return to the underworld, the covenant will destroy the portal between our realms...and everyone I love will die. My Review OMG. This book is bittersweet. This is because I have become so invested in the lives of Talon, Lily and Callum's stories. They are woven into each other. Without the one there is not the other. It all started with Lily's father, Talon.  I ...

Book Review: Flings and Arrows

Image
My Review I loved this book. I have read all of the prior books in the Ghostlight Falls series and loved them. I have grown to love this town and the cast of characters that live in it.  Cupid is up to his usual mayhem. He is shooting arrows and causing people to hook up left and right. Zephyr and Cupid have an intimate relationship. Carina comes off as snarky when she first meeting Cupid. Yet, who doesn't love a enemies to lovers' story.  I loved going back to this town. Seeing Carina again as well as Zeph was great. I do enjoy reading MMF stories. The three of them is just what Cupid needed to get his groove on. Love the surprise appearance of a few others of my favorite characters at the end. Love is in the air with Flings and Arrows!

He’s six foot three, tatted, dressed in a tailored black suit—Manhattan’s most feared mafia boss.
