Book Review: Please Save Me

Being a cult leader was never the life I wanted. I was forced into it by a man who called himself my father.

For years, I spewed Dale’s twisted gospel, doing anything he asked just to keep him away from me. But now that he’s back, I refuse to play along with his game. All I need is a little help from my least favorite

Sebastian Castillo.

He’s Maine’s leading homicide detective and resident thorn in my side. But with Dale’s influence looming in every shadow, I’m going to have to spend more time with Sebastian than I ever wanted to. The tension between us is suffocating, and as much as I hate to admit it, there’s something cathartic about the darkness that clings to him like a second skin.

Trusting him feels like my only choice. I just hope it’s the right one.

My Review:

Things are really picking up and getting more interesting with this book. Not to mention that the group dynamics is evolving.

Mason, Cameron, Seb, Lucian, and Sophia are all together and preparing for Mason's pregnancy birth. I was not too much of a fan of Seb's in the first book but in this book, I actually did like him. I felt for him and the bit of budding connection he and Cam shared.

Poor Lucien. He is spiraling and it is not good. I don't want to see him crash and burn. I really like Sophia and would have liked to see her featured a bit more. That one spicy scene involving Mason and most of the group was just what I wanted. I look forward to seeing how this series ends with the next book.
