Book Review: The Bludgeoner and His Little Monster

My boyfriend, The Bludgeoner, and his best friend, Lochlan, are accomplished serial killers. Each with their own story on how they started down that path. So what happens if I go against my quick-to-temper boyfriend and fall down the rabbit hole? What if I give in and become the thing everyone fears the most? What if I, Jeong Soo Jin become a real life monster?

Those are the questions that swirled around in my head the last few months. The weight of morality versus freedom is a serious battle. One I would not want to come out on the wrong end of. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me again. That was until I saw their faces again. The evil ones who planted the seed of diabolism in my heart have reared their ugly heads at me just when I thought the horrors were over.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but I think my version of revenge requires me to bathe in the blood of my enemies while their bones are repurposed in my house as decoration. Now that sounds like it will set my moral compass in the right direction, for good.

My Review

I loved, LOVED this book. It mixed both the darkness of the guy's personas with elements of passion. Threaded in between it all was interpersonal relationships. What I loved the most about this book is that it brought it back to the k!llings and the society.

Jin is so unhinged. Seeing Lochlan delight in it like a little child is hilarious. Lochlan brought the snarky humor. I love snarky humor. You never knew what was going to come out of his mouth next. Finally, there is Guin. I almost expected him to have a heart attack from how unhinged Jin was.

This book is my favorite in this series. Daffodil has gained a new reader in me. This book is a slaying great time!
