USA Best Selling Author, Tarrah Anders brings you a steamy sports romance. Stealing Bases is a passionate story of love, loyalty, and the power struggle between family, friendship, and following your heart. This story explores what happens when the rules get in the way of love—and what it takes to break free.

To the world, Chase Thorne has it all. As the star third baseman for the Tennessee Terrors, his job is playing the game he loves and being paid very well for it. But behind the fame and away from adoring fans, he’s at the mercy of his agent, Ethan Hale. His childhood best friend is the one who calls the shots both on and off the field for Chase and his number one rule is that his sister, Skylar, is completely off limits.

To everyone she knows, it looks like Skylar Hale lives life on her own terms. She’s strong, capable and helps those less fortunate through her work as a successful Account Manager for a Non-Profit. But beneath her accomplished exterior, her brother’s over-protectiveness makes her feel like she’s living in a cage, one specifically designed to keep other men out of her life.

Chase never paid Skylar much attention growing up, but the moment they meet again as adults, he’s left in awe of the confident and captivating woman she’s become.

When Ethan tries to exert control over both his best friend and his sister to keep them apart, Chase is faced with an impossible risk a lifelong friendship for a chance at the love he never saw coming—or walk away from the one person who might finally make him feel truly at home.

Stealing Bases is the seventh book in a series with ten amazing authors about the Tennessee Terrors baseball team. All books have crossover characters but are standalone novels and can be read in any order.

My Review

I am a sucker for a brother's best friend trope. Skylar and Chase were very respectful with each other and also due to Skylar 's brother, Ethan. Which by the way, I did understand that Ethan was coming from a place of love.

The sparks between Chase and Skylar went from mild to hot. They are cute together. Skylar is a strong FMC. That is why she deserves a strong but kind guy in Chase. The witty banter between Skylar and Chase is entertaining.

I liked the overall story and that the romance was not overpowering. This book is a fun addition to this series that I am a fan of.
