Book Review: Save the Date For a Cowboy

What happens when a reluctant cowboy agrees to get set up at a wedding, but then he and his dog fall for the wrong bridesmaid?

Surly cowboy, Ford Lassiter, named after the truck his dad was driving when he’d left him and his mother, has only known abandonment and doesn’t trust relationships—until he shares an intimate weekend at a wedding with a woman he meets when his golden retriever jumps into her lap.

Tall and curvy, Elizabeth "Bitsy' Cole, is anything but bitsy. She has spent her adult life wishing she had the courage to change--to be more adventurous and get out of the current rut of her boring monotonous life. She's not sure what makes her take her cousin, Elizabeth's name tag instead of her own at a family wedding, but that is only the first of many bold choices she will take as she spends one wild weekend with the hottest cowboy she's ever known.

SAVE THE DATE FOR A COWBOY is the prequel novella to the Lassiter Ranch series in which three abandoned cowboys, born in heartbreak and bonded by brotherhood, are brought together by the fierce love of the grandparents who took them in and the ranch that’s the only home they’ve ever known…

My Review

This is a sweet and charming novella. A nice introduction to the series. A series of mishaps as well for Elizabeth. Like she said a cupcake helps. She is not wrong.

Ford may have been a fill in groomsman, but he is the right man. The spark that Eliabeth and Ford shared has heat to it. I thought it was funny that Ford saw a peak of Elizabeth's black underwear and he thought sexy and Elizabeth thinks unflattering panties.

I could not help but laugh when Elizbeth tried the rope swing and did the most epic belly flop into the water. As if I was not already going to read book one in this series, I definitely have to with the cliffhanger.
