Book Review: Better Daddy
From the Authors of the Mom Coms comes a laugh out loud new series featuring three single dads.
Fatherhood has never been so hilarious.
Sloane Marie Murphy is the only woman I've ever loved. She's my favorite person, the mother of my child and my soon to be ex-wife.
I've been wracking my brain trying to fix my family but when a provision in my late father's trust forces me to move my family and our law practice from New York City to a dump in Jersey I think all hope is lost. She'd rather sign the papers than move with me.
Until only one night, turns into two pink lines and now my father's ridiculous trust and the heir she's currently carrying, might just save my marriage.
Sloane might not like me at the moment, and she certainly doesn't love our living arrangements, but I'll do anything I can to not only be a better daddy but to prove she's the only woman for me.
My Review
I love a second chance romance. That is what Sloane and Sully's story is. Despite them going through a divorce proceeding, you could tell that these two did share love.
Sully's excitement for the new baby that he and Sloane were about to have was infectious. Even I could not help but smile. I liked how happy he got and the effort he put into trying to make things work between Sloane and him and be a better Dad.
The witty banter/fiery barbs that Sloane slung at Sully's way, may have started out as frenemies but turned into lovers (again). I liked this newest book in this series. S&S make a good couple/parents.
Teaser Snippet
“I want to feel that d0wn my thr0@t.” I l€ak into her hands. My wife has always loved s^€king my c0¢k. And she’s f^%#ing phenomenal at it. But I can’t remember the last time she b€gged for it.
“Come on sweetheart, be a good little wife and squ€€ze me. C0me on your husband’s c0¢k.”
