Book Review: Remnants of Wreckage
I am running… Praying I can escape him with my life. Hoping that I can recapture the love I once lost. Just as I start to rebuild my soul from the broken pieces he left me with, my entire world is turned upside down. Can I escape him twice, or was I never meant to be free?
This is a DARK romance with HEAVY TRIGGERS. Reader's discretion is HIGHLY advised.
My Review
When Sam found the courage to leave her ex, Paul I was applauding her so loudly. I can image that it takes a lot to leave someone who has such a strong hold on someone. Sam's ex, Paul is a douche. Luckily for Sam, she finds support on her journey to reclaim herself with Ben, Lucas, and Alice.
If you are familiar with Emily's books, then, you know she does not stray away from the dark, heavy topics. Yet, through the trauma her characters endure, they are survivors. I have read lots of Emily's books. However, I do have to admit that this book was is hard to read but important. I have never been a DV survivor, but I do think that someone who could find this book mentally therapeutic. It is raw.
