Book Review: His Deadly Devotion

Connor

Love and hate. Sometimes it’s hard to see the difference. And right now, it’s love that
wins out. Love that has me hunting them down like the animals they are. It’s the driving force
that keeps me going. Keeps me fighting.
She’s the reason I’m going against everything I’ve been taught. Against every belief I
once had.
When it comes down to them or her, it’s always going to be her. I’m choosing her.
Above everything. And God help anyone who gets in my way.
Aurora
It’s rare that I’ve ever felt true fear. I wasn’t scared when I woke up in a cold, dark
room. Chained to a wall. I wasn’t even afraid when they threatened my life.
No, that fear didn’t set in until after I heard his name. Connor.
They can do whatever they want to me, but hell will freeze over before I let any harm
come to him. They don’t know I’m not the helpless teenage girl they think they’re using as
leverage. Or that by the end of this, they’ll be the ones begging me for the sort of mercy
that’ll never come.

His Deadly Devotion is book 2 in the Obsessive Love Trilogy, Her Dark Obsession should be read first.

My Review

I have grown even more in love with Aurora and Connor. As Aurora would say, finding and staying with her true love is really hard. Their story is like Romeo and Juliet but let's hope that they do not share the same fate as the two fated lovers with a tragic ending.

I was already obsessed with Connor but this time, it is more about woman power. Aurora has it and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty.

"I'm scared of having to live without you"

Aurora is not only sassy but extra feisty. She and Connor grow stronger. If you mess with one of them, you will have the wrath of the other to deal with. Things took a bit of a twist towards the end of the story. I can't wait to read the conclusion of this trilogy. I am devoted to this trilogy.
