Book Review: Primed to Hunt
Hate is the only thing I feel for myself…
Kimber Aldridge
I’ve never regretted using an alias at the club. Working here, sharing the most intimate and pleading parts of myself with people who pass me by, requires a wall. I’ve burned most bridges with people who might want to be friends with the enemy, so when I needed help the last people I thought I could depend on were members of the club. My shame is buried behind the choices I made, all the bad decisions, and putting on a fake persona is the only way I know how to get by. So letting someone have control of me when I sleep? If I let them bring me pleasure when there are no walls, maybe it’ll help make me feel whole again.
Rich Jansen
As the official supplier for Sins & Secrets, I’ve never actually applied for a membership to the club. I come in as needed, stocking the store with basics and exclusive merchandise, make friends with the members, and travel onward to the next shop before beginning the cycle again each month. One club isn’t enough to appeal to me when I know of many, so why is one girl enough to pique my interest? Kimber has her problems within the club, and even when we’re close, I can tell her walls are up for a reason. I don’t need to break them down, I need to blow them up.
A dark somnophilia, who hurt you, club romance.
My Review
I really love this series. Yet, there was something about this book that just really struck a dagger tto the heart for me. I mean this in the best of way. While I have never experienced what Kimber went through, I really felt for her.
She experienced a lot of past trauma. Luckily for her, Rich was there by her side. He cared for her. He understood what Kimber needed both physically and mentally. I appreciated how he helped Kimber. I love the nickname Rich called Kimber "Dreamer".
I absolutely could not get enough of Rich and Kimber. I thought Rich was going to be a total green flag and yes, he is a green flag but more like morally gray. You are not going to want to miss this book. One of the best in this series.
