Book Review: Tropical Tidings
Book 2 of the Merry Mermaids Holiday Novella Series!
Tropes -Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine
- Childhood Crush
- Opposites Attract
- Small Island
I’ve been crushing on Victoria Hale since we were just kids on the schoolyard. No one’s ever quite understood my infatuation because of her… demeanor. Now that we’re both grown and working on the same island, I pine for her still. She grew up tall and intimidating, but I’m no longer the scrawny little pipsqueak she laid out by the swings at recess. I’ve grown into myself and as the sheriff of this island, I’m no longer afraid to let her know I’m the man for her. And now that I've got her in my holding cell, her RBF doesn’t scare me… much.
Tropical Tidings is a steamy and fun small island childhood crush romcom following a grumpy mermaid bartender and the sunshine sheriff who’s determined to make her love him back. This is book two in the Merry Mermaids series - a multi-author three novella Christmas series bringing you holiday shenanigans in the tropics!
My Review
Tom and Victoria have known each other since they were children. Tom thought back when he was younger that he was coming to Victoria's aid. Only he learned the hard way that she can take care of herself. She is not an angel but Tom's nightmare.
Years later, Tom has come back, and this sheriff is sexy. No matter how many barbs Victoria tosses Tom's way, it will never change his feelings for her. He loves her.
The Christmas themed escape room with the evil elves. They kidnapped Santa and have him tied up and hopped up on Jolly Juice. ROFL!! Once these two kissed, it was hot and furious after that. I absolutely love Victoria. She is snarky and someone that I would have as my best friend. Tom is great. He is a cinnamon roll hero.
This book is amazing! A laugh out loud, must read!
