Book Review: Sedona

Sedona, AZ is a tourist town that lures people from around the world who believe there is more beyond the veil of reality. They come for the whispering pines, Hopi legends, vortices, magic crystals, and healing springs. Enter Cal Novak, a spunky editor from Atlanta, Georgia, who gives up the city life because she is searching for more: more time, more adventure, more meaning. The magic of her new hometown does not disappoint. Behind the curtain of every window there are secrets waiting to be uncovered. For those searching for more, there’s no place like Sedona.

My Review

I absolutely loved this book. I started reading it and before I knew it, I had finished it in a matter of a few hours. It was the characters that made this book for me. They were all so engaging that I could not stop reading.

I have been to Sedona, Arizona and it is a beautiful place to visit. So, I instantly was transported to Sedona while reading this book. I felt for Cal as she uprooted everything to move her Grandma Ruth to Sedona when she requested it. She is a good granddaughter.

Luckily, in this new town, Cal becomes friends with Des. I liked Des a lot. Mostly everyone in the town was friendly and this included Officer Sanchez and Drunk Tommy. Yes, Tommy underneath his gruff exterior does have a heart.
