Book Review: Nevermore

When Leonor died, she didn’t see a light.

There were no angels, no pearly gates.

She didn’t see anything at all, just a cold, dark void.

But she did hear music…

Leonor heard her music, the music she made with The Ravens, and she was glad it was waiting for her in the end.

Until everything went eerily silent, and she was pulled from the afterlife and thrown into the life after.

The life after death, the life after survival.

The life without her band—the men who will always hold her heart—but that’s how it has to be.

Because that music, their music is terrifying now, and it feels more like a jazz funeral trying to take her away for good.

My Review

Get ready for an emotional ride with Leonor and her guys...Lucky, Pete, Mark, and Norm. That is what A.K. did with me for this book.

I could feel the raw emotions and pain that Leonor was experiencing. Yet, it was not just her. After the horrific event that Leonor survived years ago, she and the guys were changed. However, they needed each other more than they realized. Together they are stronger.

For me it was Lucky that edged out the rest of the guys just a little bit. Part of this had to do with the fact that he was the first one that I was introduced to and who shared that connection with Leonor first as well. Love when the guys called Leonor "our girl".
