Book Review: Veiled Truths

Just out of prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Carter Sanders needs to let off a little steam before he gets his revenge…only he didn’t plan on meeting the one woman who has the power to derail all his plans.

It was just supposed to be one night of freedom before she snuck back into her gilded cage. But after Penelope Croft agrees to have her first scene with a Dom, her eyes are opened to a whole new world of desires. Of course she runs at the first opportunity because happily ever afters are not made for someone like her—even if it’s a dark fairytale.

So imagine both their surprise when Carter shows up to her office for a job and finds out just how untouchable she is.

How far is Carter willing to go to keep the woman he can’t get out of his head safe when he has nothing left to lose?

He’ll fight to the death.

My Review

I am a fan of A.M. and their books. I love that they feature diverse characters. This book is the darkest and spiciest I have read from this husband/wife duo. I absolutely love this darker side that they are venturing into. I could not get enough of Penelope and Carter.

"I never expected to fall for you"

The way that Carter cared and talked Penelope through what he was doing is HOT. As if having Carter be in control was not enough, he cooks too. The more time that Penelope spent around Carter, the more she bloomed and cane out of her shell.

"It's a good thing I'm not a prince, nor a knight, Doll. I'm the dragon in this story"

I look forward to seeing more of A.M.'s darker side. This book is the chef's kiss!

"I will make you mine in every way possible"
