Book Review: Just Between Us

Image
Royal King is pure mischief wrapped in a cocky smirk and a heated stare. Five minutes in his small town and I knew he was going to be nothing but trouble. He’s an arrogant, tattooed playboy with a secret, and I’m the woman tasked with quietly cleaning up his family’s mess. I never dreamed he could be the mysterious stranger behind my hidden, late-night messages. It doesn’t matter what he says or how hard he tries to get under my skin. I won’t break. Not for him. Not for anyone. But when our secrets are exposed,  all bets are off . He knows the rules—just a little fun exploration. Nothing more. But one lesson leads to another . . . and another . . . and soon I realize that he’s set out to break every rule I’ve ever put into place. I refuse to find myself melting under his gaze or swooning at the way he makes the noise around us quieter. I can handle men like him. Everything will be fine as long as we can keep this  just between us . My Review I am so in love with the Kings. Each book

There are three things Nellie Belanger can say for final year of university might be a little harder than expected. She’s definitely  not  spiralling. She clearly just needs to get laid. Which is obviously the only reason she jumps to help out JP Marchand the moment he asks for a favour that involves a weekend getaway, a sexy gondola ride, and oh yeah, being his fake girlfriend for the night. When an impulsive decision ( or five ) leads to the revelation of a secret (…or five) and Nellie is faced with the consequences of her own actions, her spiral leads her to the one person she’s begun to realize she can always count on. But with JP revealing a secret (or five?) of his own, Nellie’s left wondering three big How much does she really know about her best friend’s brother? What does she actually want from him? And most importantly… Why is she like this? My Review Ok, first off let me shout out to Cheryl that I forgive you for making me wait for this book. It was worth the wait. Yet now

Book Review: In The Air Tonight

Tropes: Small Town Romantic Suspense Crime Thriller Forced Proximity New England I was there. I saw what you did. Blaise I wasn’t supposed to be there that night, but my friend Sienna talked me into going to the party in Land’s End so she could spy on her boyfriend. While hiding out in the woods, we witnessed an unspeakable crime. And we did everything wrong afterward.  Connections run deep in our small town.  I was pressured into keeping my mouth shut, even though every part of me objected. I assumed I’d always do the right thing in any situation. I was wrong about that and a lot of other things.  I was wrecked by what I saw and how the victim was treated by kids I’d known all my life. I’ve been sick over it ever since, even as I moved on, far away from the town where I was raised.  Fourteen years later, I learn that the guy who committed that unspeakable crime is running for Congress, and something in me snaps. I can’t bear the weight of that knowledge for another second.  Finally,

In a desperate bid to get out of town, twenty-seven-year-old virgin and bookstore nerd Elena Zelenska becomes the world's most unlikely mail-order bride. Her gamble pays off when she's swept off her feet by Lorne Ronson, handsome single father and (gasp!) actual published author. Elena's new fiancé seems almost too good to be true. Her life is turning into a fairytale, especially once Lorne starts building her a castle in the woods. But when Elena arrives in Grimstone, her fairytale turns darker. The castle in the woods is a macabre labyrinth of hidden chambers, and Lorne is no Prince Charming. In fact, he might just be a monster. Isolated far from home, Elena's only ally is Atlas Covett, owner of the Monarch hotel. Massive and stern, even Atlas' employees are terrified of him. He becomes Elena's unexpected protector, offering sanctuary from the darkness that threatens to consume her. As Elena's bond with Atlas deepens, her jealous fiancé exerts his contro
