Love hurts, but I like the pain

Maverick

The second I board the Bruise Cruise, I’m ready to indulge—top-shelf liquor, five-star meals, and maybe a little pain to round out the night.

What I don’t expect? Falling for the one woman guaranteed to ruin everything.

A federal agent.

She’s here to sink us, and I’m stuck sharing a suite—and a bed—with the enemy.

Frankie

Get in. Take down Jim and his crew. Get out. That’s the mission.

But nothing about the Bruise Cruise goes according to plan.

Especially not Maverick—handsome, odd, aggravating . . . and weirdly charming.

Which is a problem.

And then he tells me his secrets, leaving me with two options: jump ship or go down with him.

Ship Happens is book three in the dark romantic comedy series rocking the TikTok charts—and this time, all aboard means no one is safe. Expect savage banter, killer humor, and a romance that’s anything but smooth sailing.

My Review
While I absolutely loved Maverick and was glad to see him get his own book, there were a few other break out stars that won my heart. They are Jim and Ice Pick. Jim was like a giddy kid in a candy shop. Every time that he made an appearance, I laughed out loud. Ice Pick is another one that I really enjoyed. I hope to see him again in the future.

Maverick was very "lucky", he did not get a corkscrew to the heart when he was "mansplaining" to Frankie. Speaking of Frankie, she fit into the group very well. The women needed another independent, strong FMC.

Lauren brings the humor again with this newest book in this series. I don't know how many times I have to say it but avoid eating any of the "meat' courses prepared by Chef Maurice! If you love Brynne Weaver's The Ruinous Love Trilogy, you are going to want to read this series! I absolutely "ship" this book. It is a killer great time.
