Amelia, the Moochins and the Sapphire Palace

Amelia opens a present. A present that's not a present. No, it's a friendly looking alien called Uglesnoo from the planet Pluto. Uglesnoo needs to leave right away for the Moon. Uglesnoo also desperately needs Amelia's help. His sister is very sick. Should Amelia venture into outer space?

My Review

I actually read book Two: Amelia, the Venutons and the Golden Cage before I read this book one. Although, I had no problems reading book two, I would suggest you do read the books in order. Just because this book one helps to set the stage for the next book and introduces you to Uglesnoo. Yet, in book two I really got to know Uglesnoo and became familiar with his planet. This is a fun series for the younger readers with cool characters. I like that the author does not use too large of words or take up too much space on the pages with too many words and sentences. Simple is better. Also, the pictures do help tell the story and are colorful. Young readers will enjoy taking a journey with Amelia and Uglesnoo.

You can read my review of book two here.
